OUR MISSION

We are a performing and teaching string quartet based in New York City. In both traditional and relaxed concert settings, we play music that invokes our individual recollections of home and community, whether that be our favorite works from the classical repertoire, new works inviting us to reimagine our stories, or traditional folk tunes echoing childhood memories. Four friends and lifelong learners, our musical process is guided by memories of our homes in Quebec, Alberta, and the Pacific Northwest. Our work together centers on connection to ourselves, our world and each other, affirming the undeniable truth that it’s impossible to make art alone. We value a blended, cohesive group sound that reflects this connection, and think of the string quartet as a collective instrument that allows four different voices to speak as one.
