We are a group of four friends, musicians, and life-long rookies who together form a string quartet. People are central to our practice; our main source of inspiration comes from relationships, conversations and stories. Currently, our main outlet of expression is performance in both traditional and relaxed concert settings. String quartet fanatics at heart, we play our favourite works from the classical string quartet repertoire, newer works which invite us to tell stories in new ways, and traditional folk tunes echoing childhood recollections of home, mystery and celebration.

We take no rules to heart other than the undeniable truth that it’s impossible to make art alone. Guided by memories from our homes in Quebec, Alberta, and the Pacific Northwest, we hold space for multiple truths within our group, ourselves, and our lives. Our rehearsal process explores and celebrates this multiplicity, creating a sound that is only possible when all of our truths are held together. We choose complexity over compromise, resulting in a multifaceted, authentic sound; we never sound the same, yet we always sound like ourselves.
